A Few New Favorite (Parisian) Things…

The more time I work on GTG, the more time I spend on-line.  The more time I spend on-line, the more I find things I absolutely adore and that I want to share with you so badly.  In planning the direction of The Good Taste Guide I decided to only post original content, but then I couldn’t help myself.  I fall in love easily.  So from hereon out, every once in awhile, when I’m feeling particularly in love, I’m going to share some of my favorite recent things with you, as inspired by my pinterest page….and today is one of those days.  Since I miss Paris so badly, these favorite things all hail from the City of Love.

Brian Ferry of The Blue Hour takes fantastic photos. When viewing his blog after visiting Paris, I was struck by how much they felt like, breathed like the city.

I’m in love with simply striped Parisian hand towels, and etsy’s Frog Goes to Market hand towels are personally monogrammed.  At $18 I’m in for the investment.

I read Julia Child’s memoir My Life in France and fell in love with her.  For Christmas, my boyfriend gave me Mastering the Art of French Cooking and the first thing I made were her scrambled eggs.  They are the best eggs I’ve ever eaten.  You can find the recipe here.

Bénédicte Gelé paints horses that appear to move on the page. She sells her art on etsy, and if you can’t afford a full size print, stock up on her postcards.

I love fashion blogs that incorporate art, and the Parisian Adeline Rapon is without hesitation one of those blogs.  I have been obsessing over large masculine coats and hats, and this look is solidified with her fabulous hair.

  1. I used to follow Adeline on Chictopia a couple years ago…Such great, effortless style. I haven’t checked out her posts in a while (I’m a pretty ADD style blog follower) – thanks for bringing her back to me!! xo
